Trapping rats can be difficult. They are very intelligent. It helps to know what the rat is doing. If you can tell where the rat is traveling, how the rat is getting inside, or if there are still rats in the building it can make the whole process a lot easier. So, I use a tracking powder that answers a lot of these questions. Hope that you enjoy the video. If you need help with your rats check out the Wildlife Co.llc at wildlifecompanytn.com.
As a professional wildlife controller, I am occasionally called out to deal with problems associated with dead wildlife. Finding the animal is a challenge. It takes a few tricks to find a dead critter. Usually I get what I am after ,but sometimes you cant find it. By the time the customer calls the carcass has degraded to the point that it is in pretty bad shape.
These Flying Squirrels were running through my customer's attic and he wanted them out. They had been showing up in living areas. So, I sealed all the entrances but one and set a repeating trap over the entrance. This wasn't easy. The house is very tall and the roof is quite steep. I had to use a safety harness to access rooftop areas. The next day, I had the flying squirrels. I tried to minimize trap stress by covering the trap, but unfortunately I lost one squirrel. As I said in the video, this is still a lot better than using kill traps. The squirrels were released on site so that they wouldn't be separated from their winter food stores.

This customer called me in the middle of the night and said that she had seen an opossum in her air conditioner.
