Squirrel Removal Cost

Squirrel removal projects range widely in cost. For a skilled professional, actually trapping and removing the squirrels takes relatively little time and expense with possibly as little as an hour to set up equipment and another hour to pick up equipment. This might cost as little as $140.

Most squirrel control projects involve sealing entrances and hardening alternate entrances. This is usually where the majority of labor is expended. The wildlife controller has to set up ladders, safety equipment, cut patches etc. An easy entrance can take an hour or less to repair. A difficult entrance can take half a day or more by the time ladders, lifts, and safety equipment are set up and the entrance is patched. Multiply the difficulty of reaching and repairing each individual entrance by the number of entrances (there is almost always more than one) and you should have a pretty good idea of what your estimate will be. Cost ranges from $150 up to $3500 for larger projects.

Flying Squirrel Removal Cost

Flying Squirrel work can be more expensive than work done for Grey Squirrels. Flying Squirrels can enter a slightly smaller hole than Grey Squirrels can. Flying squirrels can go through an entrance that is a little better than one inch. Grey Squirrels need about an inch and a half. This doesn’t sound like much, but it is. This means that you have to be much more thorough when dealing with flying squirrels. It will mean more climbing to check potential entrances. Flying Squirrels may also mean more return trips to fix problems that were missed. Smaller species mean that it is a lot easier to miss a spot on the home. You may also want to consider some checkup visits later on to make sure that they have not returned.
